Ensemble Parallèle is a San Francisco Based
Contemporary Opera Company
It commissions and performs new operas as well as chamber orchestrations of large contemporary masterworks. It presents cutting-edge works that reach a diverse audience – enriching their operatic experience, while nurturing musical talent and providing community outreach through educational programs for students and the general public.
We strive to maintain modest ticket prices even though those sales cover less than half of the cost of presenting our performances. We are proud to receive significant foundation and government support, but the majority of our contributed income comes from generous donations from individuals like you.

TAX INCENTIVES
Tax-Deductible Donations
Ensemble Parallèle is a public benefit educational organization as described under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Gifts to Ensemble Parallèle are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Donations that are associated with participation in special events are itemized with respect to the tax-deductible portion. Ensemble Parallèle’s Tax ID Number is 72-1584393
Tax Incentives for Donors 70 ½ Years and Older
A new tax law allows people aged 70½ or older to make charitable contributions directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA). This new law means that a qualified donor can make a gift to Ensemble Parallèle from an IRA without claiming it as taxable income or using it as a deduction—in effect, having no impact on income or taxes. The gift counts toward the annual required minimum distribution.

Our Inner Circle program includes exclusive invitations to meet with contemporary chamber opera artists, directors, composers, and conductor Nicole Paiement. Our educational outreach programs support young composers and introduce the joy and excitement of opera to hundreds of SF Bay Area students.
